SEATTLE ASIAN ART MUSEUM

Exhibition: Explore Korea: A Visit to Grandfather's House
1999

Museum Resource fabricated this replica of a 17th century Korean farmhouse at the Seattle Art Museum over a period of 4 weeks. The detailed installation included imported Korean roof tiles and a post and beam entrance gate. Walls were plastered and patinated in a traditional manner with soot from burned and brushed woodwork. The house remained on display for 3 years.
